ocr: EIT atenu A L - 2 EEUR E LA EIT. sequence in He 1304, A. - showing a blob of 60,000 K plasma over 20,000 km long, being ejected af more than 15,000 km/h. EIT has made a number of observations of large-scole transient waves, also called Coronal Moreton Waves'. These events are. usually recorded in the 195 A bandpass, during nigh-cadence (<20 minutes) observations. These events are sfunning in that they usually affect most of the visible solar disk. They gen- erally propagate ot speeds of 200-500 km/sec, traversing a solar diameter in less than an hour.
